Marlys Hersey

Life is such a wild ride, isn't it? From hardships to great joys, we are challenged in so many ways. In your journey towards healing and self-actualization, you may need or want compassionate support. That’s where I come in….

I’m Marlys Hersey, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC). I offer psychotherapy to individuals and couples, working from a place of profound respect and genuine curiosity. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know and understand you as whole person and helping you move towards your goals with clarity, humor, and grace.

I integrate several different therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy. We will collaborate on a plan to help you rise to the challenges you face, make sense to yourself, and create the most satisfying life possible. I fervently believe in every person's ability to grow and change. I strive to make each session valuable for you. Insight and awareness are essential, yet we don't stop there; I help you learn new approaches, new skills to help you get new and different results.

I am accepting new clients. I offer online therapy through secure video conferencing.

I accept direct payment from clients, or I can bill your insurance plan directly if you are covered by Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Colorado, Oscar Health, Oxford, or United Healthcare.
